I spun up some lovely Polwarth hand dyed from Friends in Fiber. All I have ever used is my one spindle and chopsticks for bobbins. I ply with the same spindle. 🧶

Light rain so scary. In unrelated news, neighborhoods in Spokane were placed under curfew last night because a couple dozen people were peacefully protesting the illegal arrest of a former council member because ICE arrested their sponsored friend basically. Rehearsal for Saturday?

Slow and steady progress on my Rock It Tee. Took a break for a bit after a stupid drunk driver plowed into my house and car. Feels nice to pick up needles again. Don't know if stripes count as colorwork but #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶

I really just need to try this on to check for arm length and then finish the second sleeve. I love the combo of Knitting for Olive merino and soft silk mohair in Dusty Moose colorway. Just a gorgeous fabric with perfect drape and softness. Pattern is Tiree by Isabell Kraemer.

I think my consistency is improving while definitely still looking homespun. I'm getting more excited as I feel like I actually am getting enough yardage for a garment some day. Now I must learn to weave. I want to weave with this rather than knit. No. Wait I mean I want to knit AND weave with this.
At the top is some light blue flecked wool to spin and a top whirl spindle and below are two hanks of handspun yarn in lighter blue shades and one that is darker blue. Shows a pile of wool of wool and five hanks of yarn from lightest of blues to darkest of blues in an indigo gradient.

Proud of this imperfect hank of yarn. My first one. I used a drop spindle to "achieve" this uneven thick thin 2 ply. But it's soft and squishy and all I have to do is soak it and thwack it and now I'm off to spin another. I aim to make a finer more consistent twist this time.
