Saw something this weekend about accepting that authors will write with AI. No. Don’t accept it, don’t forgive them.
I’m seeing a lot of soft takes from industry mutuals at the moment that we shouldn’t be so hard on those who use generative AI because it’s becoming harder and harder to resist.
Wrong. Betraying your ethics (and your peers) because ‘everyone else is doing it’ does not suddenly make it acceptable.

This is the correct response to all popular music, beginning the day you turn forty. I too hope the young people had, and will continue to have fun.
my rural local news put up a post asking what people thought of the halftime show and this little old white lady commented “I didn’t get it but I’m old. I hope the young people had fun. I liked his pants and his jacket. 💕”

Found out that TWENTY emails is considered a lot to politicians on an issue.

TWENTY.

As in, they call that getting slammed.

So next time you see a request to email your rep, or call, keep that in mind.

TWENTY is a lot.

The most satisfying thing about the B&N Preorder sale is when LGBTQReads patrons pick a years' worth of books at once so I can take advantage and I get to know so many queer and trans books are being bought on this day

Okay, I want to say it again for anyone who needs to hear it right now:

Yes, calling is better for getting in touch with your reps. But right now? DO IT HOWEVER YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE.

I'm really concerned that the emphasis on calling right now is stopping people from getting in touch.

Call. Because do we really want a low-rent medical villain to be the head of HHS?

Another day of calling all three of my members of congress. Find your reps at www.congress.gov. Most MOCs have multiple offices to call in case you get a full voicemail. In the search, click on their personal websites and head to the contact page to find them. Everyone I’ve talked to has been kind.
