Do not try to hide the fuck up.
I have seen more attorneys get in trouble not because of the fuck up, but because they attempted to conceal the fuck up.
If you cannot un-fuck it immediately, disclose the fuck up to the partner/client/etc. in the appropriate order.

I work in a pretty stressful field. We have low error tolerances. I've seen people respond to a lot of crises, and that helped me develop my own crisis response. I'm sharing it here.
1) Figure out if you've actually fucked up.
2) If you have, figure out if you can un-fuck up.
