Today I had science classes come in to practice research skills with this archaic form of technology—books! We practiced key word identification, index referencing, and skimming skills with our science info scavenger hunt! And learned some cool facts! #SchoolLibraries #Collaborations

It’s my last day before this little babe’s birth day.

My body and mind let me sleep 8 hours straight last night.

Now I am balancing my modified bed rest with getting the little last minute things done around the house. It’s hard to sit still.

Can’t wait to meet you tomorrow, sweet babe. 🥰

Between my two committees and my own personal and job-related reading, I read over 250 books this year!

Here are my some of my very top reads of the year.

May 2024 bring even more great reading.

Just had a spike in my anxiety for the first time in…months?

Can’t really take my emergency meds because pregnancy, so I’m trying natural ways to lower heart rate, etc.

Let’s start with a cherry coke float. 🍒

Merry Christmas casserole! 🎄

Welp, my parents came back from their siblings cruise with COVID. So now we will enjoy a little cozy Christmas, just the two of us (it’s the last Christmas just the two of us).

It is gonna be weird, as I have never not been with my family for Christmas ever. But better to stay healthy!

Winter Break 💜

What my soul needed. Spending my days listening to Rainbow Book List audiobooks and playing video games and napping a lot has been a joy.

Moving rooms around to make room for a baby nursery, so now I am excited to have my Rainbow YA/MG bookcase prominently displayed on the dining room wall! 📚

I found the way I will listen to all my Rainbow Book List books for the rest of the year.

Just audiobook and Stardew Valley.

Yes, I did play for like 15 hours this weekend. Judge me all you want, I finished a book 🤣

Not the Sunday scaries, but just the Sunday sads.

Because weekends just never seem long enough to rest and recover from very long and exhausting weeks.

I need to do this, but I’ll have to be strategic about it because every COVID shot I have had took me out for two days. And I can’t afford any unscheduled sick days right now.
Reminder that the new COVID shot isn’t just a booster, it’s a new vaccine more effective against more variants. Important to get it and remind friends & family.
Few Americans have opted to be immunized against the coronavirus so far this fall: Just over 7 percent of adults and 2 percent of children had received a Covid-19 vaccine as of Oct. 14

We had so much fun read Aaron Reynold's Creepy Carrots at
Westerman this week and then trying to create ways to capture the carrots like Jasper Rabbit did in the book! #sd36learn #sd36tl #picturebooks #kidlit

Here’s my share for the day:

This week’s PreK-1st lesson used the book Bridges by Marc Majewski to learn about characteristics of different bridges. And then they became bridge builders and built their own using brain flakes. It went so well, and they were so excited to see all the pretty pictures!
