I didn't even get 3 seconds in before my brain absolute fried from the instant perspective change. Then it immediately gave up afterwards.
In a strange sense of irony, this is most artistic thing i've seen AI make... in like a fucked up, schizo-horror kinda way.

For most avatars, if you have Poiyomi or Lil Toon shaders, simply updating the shaders should be all you need to do as they are both enabled by default!
Some other shaders are similar, though they may require a toggle to click or somethin!

Consumers would finally be able to answer the question: "Why should I buy an optimized asset over an unoptimized one?"
A: "So I can join this popular group event/instance in an avatar I actually like!"

Avatar Performance Limits for group instances comes to mind. IDK what the status of that is, but it was discussed heavily last year. That would absolutely give consumers the incentive to shop for optimized assets, which would in-turn, incentivise creators to optimize their stuff more.

Optimizing, when done properly, is a very tedious process. The point is to make it perform better without people noticing the drop in quality. That's not going to translate easily in an ad. It's discouraging to put all that effort in, just to get destroyed by folks who didn't even try to optimize.

All my stuff I used to sell was Med or better. That may have helped in the past, but today? I can't really say with a straight face that it would give me an edge over competition. At this point, VRChat needs to create an incentive for *consumers* to buy optimized assets, not the other way around.

Unfortunately, this is just false. Time = money, and the time spent optimizing could be spent making more assets and marketing. Your average consumer isn't going to notice or care about an optimized asset. It's hard for them to see the value of an optimized asset vs an unoptimized one.
