Since @washingtonpost.com keeps inserting links to its new AI tool in its stories, I asked the AI if it was accurate when it came to reporting news.

It warned me that using AI in reporting "can lead to misinformation and low-quality reporting, contributing to a rising mistrust in journalism."

Interestingly, when pollsters asked respondents about whether candidates' positions on Israel were a factor, and to what degree, the results were close to even, suggesting that Mamdani's criticisms of Israel were as appealing to his voters as Cuomo's support for Israel was to his.

Looking at CNN's exit poll last night, Mamdani managed to capture only 1/3rd of Jewish votes, while Cuomo got nearly 2/3rds of them, with just 3% going for Sliwa.

Anyone who would foolishly assume that a diminutive middle-aged Japanese woman can't be one of the sickest metal guitarists on the planet hasn't heard Wata of @borisheavyrocks.bsky.social.

Black cat attempts his most sinister Halloween expression as a fierce hellhound in a pumpkin costume lurks in the background.

My Halloween playlist this year is going all-in on the creepiest music from the 70s, with an emphasis on freak folk, kraut rock, and giallo prog.

I've been documenting the hellish FB Reels that keep popping up in my feed. The latest shows a guy kicking in the face a Black woman in a wheelchair, which like all Reels plays in a loop when you scroll down to it or if you hover over it. #HellOnReels

tbh if Home Depot sold a Dafoe statue in the form of a giant diorama from The Lighthouse, the trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood would be absolutely terrified.

My cow costume’s inflator fan is dead so this will have to do. At least my dog approves. #NoKings

The AI slop featured on Facebook Reels plumbs new depths of recklessness. Today it's showing me fake footage of the Dome of the Rock on fire.

For some reason this was the first thing that came to mind.

Absolutely awful to have to re-circulate @onthemedia.bsky.social's Breaking News Consumer's Handbook on Yom Kippur, but here we are. Stay safe, everyone.

Okay, time for the quarterly fitness update. I tried to not look so grim in this photo, so hopefully a smirk will do for those who commented on my overly serious look last time around three months ago, lol....

@npr.org just posted this to their instagram:

"Today marks the first day in public media’s history without federal funding. It’s the beginning of a new chapter — but we’re not going anywhere."

It's received more than 60k likes in just 30 minutes. www.instagram.com/p/DPREnmwjyBe/

Because the original glossary was a dynamic webpage, the navigation links to browse through each page no longer work. (See screenshots.) But there's an easy workaround.
