On this day in 1970 this happened. #DeepPurple recorded live on 12th November 1970 at Konserthuset in Stockholm by Swedish National Radio for a radio show called Tonkraft. From 1969 to 1974 no-one could touch Purple, live.

It's the 50th anniversary of this underrated and unfairly maligned album. Released on 7 November 1975, #DeepPurple without #RitchieBlackmore for the first time, #TommyBolin on guitar.

40 years ago today it rained in the UK. I know this because I spent all the day in a field in Hertfordshire with about 60,000 other people for The Return of the Knebworth Fayre - Deep Purple's first gig in the UK since getting back together the previous year. Not my pictures.

I think I'll have to go spend some money in Sin É in #cork at the weekend. Good on 'em.
A screenshot from X: Cllr. Glen Moore A day after the protests a family member of mine with 3 other women stayed in Cork and visited a traditional Irish pub called "Sin É" on Corburg street in Cork. One of the ladies was wearing a hat with the slogan "Make Ireland great again" At the bar the ladies complimented the pub on its Beauty and asked politely for an order of drinks to which the bar lady said "l don't think I'm going to serve you" after a slight confusion and questions asked why? The bar lady shouted "because you're racist cunts!" And then shouted "and I know you were at the protest!" The 4 ladies tried to deescalate the situation and explained this is discrimination against Irish people for their political beliefs to no avail so they left the pub. Congratulations to this "Sin É" pub for alienating Irish customers and opening up your business to a civil law suit. Article 40.6 of the constitution gaurantees freedom of expression, association and assembly. your staff member made it very clear service was denied solely on that due to her responses puts this in the realm of discrimination and defamation. "
