I'm sure there's some connection with competing with Halloween 🤔 which although it has its roots in paganism is an Irish and therefore Catholic celebration...some historian somewhere might know...not little ol me though 😄 I find it strange how some English people think we do guy fawkes in Ireland 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

As an Irish person, I try to be out of the UK for it...it IS a celebration of burning a Catholic no matter how it's dressed up. That and the fireworks makes me a bit of a party pooper...fireworks are banned in Ireland, I've never taken to them. Great excuse for a trip to Spain though 🌞

Yes, I like that, my teen went out trick or treating as Pikachu...assuming she could do with a SPF as doubt if she scared anyone!

I boycott as much as I can but small shops too expensive (not their faults perhaps). I hate supermarkets, so depressing seeing all those older people working like slaves when they should be at home.

Just as long as you don't start eating alone in the dark! 😆. Plus I was an artist who didn't draw but I made myself paint a little last week...it was definitely a good thing. Dancing singing whatever....do it!
