My onion thieves.
Bastards.
Cute bastards, though.

So, voles not moles?
November 12, 2025 at 11:21 AM
And a second and a third.
Look too big a grey to be moles... voles?
November 12, 2025 at 10:44 AM
Digging out my compost bin and found mole tunnels. (Probably a loop).

Meanwhile, in the UK, we en masse take kids to the theater at Christmas to see men dressed as women and women dressed as men and all have a jolly fun time.

Today's harvest.
Teaspoon for scale and, later, for tea.

The garlic-herb rolls (that were not eaten)
October 27, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Soup is waiting for the rolls to rise and the hubby to get home.
Kiddo approves of the flavour.

(It's dog toothpaste)

Another dead snake.
Around 30cm long.
At first I thought it was just a skin, but it's too lumpy and juicy.
Probably a grass snake?

A couple of weeks ago the open-air pool near us opened its gates on the last day of the season to dogs.
TinyPuppy had a field day, so much swimming, so many other dogs and dog friendly humans, even our old dog trainer.
He wants to go back.

The farm, and cows, under discussion. Taken from my kitchen balcony.
October 4, 2025 at 10:25 AM
True. The farm up the hill grows & sells it's own soy. It also harvests a lot of hay and maize, and pastures it's cows 9 mos per yr on 20° plus land, so yes, these cows are foddered with soy, but it's not imported.
Same is the case for most cattle farms in Switzerland (more maize than soy).

Seems legit.
Email sent from an Grenada code telling me I won a Green Card lottery I never entered in the diversity division.
Because one thing is really clear right now is how much the US administration, especially those in immigration control, really want more diversity.

All the carrots are now here.

Final harvest (except the winter leek and brussel sprouts.

I added an 'a' and omitted the 'set' when I first read this, which changed the whole tone of this headline. Starmer to unveil digital ID in a plan to ignite civil liberties row.
My main objections last time were data protection, data accuracy, and the fee.

Who's been eating my spuds?
I wouldn't mind if it were not the 2 largest ones.
Do you know how hard it is to get proper large baking potatoes here?
