Has Bluesky made it to NEPA? If you're reading this and you're in the part of the world often described as "you know, like The Office," I'm reading from The Last Analog Teenagers in the book's spiritual home tomorrow night. Free to attend.

I made friends with this bird on the LIRR long enough to catch it and release it at the next station. This is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me.

I went to the Diane Arbus show at the Park Avenue Armory yesterday, 454 photographs all titled in this format. I am going to post some of my favorites in the 🧵 below. Any one of these would make an excellent short story title.

Speaking of which, the title in question was Ladies Ladies Ladies by Kristen Zory King
-- I always thought "Brandy You're a Fine Girl" would make a great short story, but it's hard to be mad that someone beat me to it when it's this good.

I was updating another @stanchion.bsky.social title on StoryGraph and noticed that TLAT has its first review! Please, if you read the book and liked it, consider sharing your thoughts with the reading community!

The kid forgot her video game time today because she got distracted by a book, and I didn't remind her because I was in my selfie studio posing with my AUTHOR COPY OF THE LAST ANALOG TEENAGERS

Pop Culture Reference from The Last Analog Teenagers #14: Time Can't Touch Us

It was lambswool, the scent of Eternity clinging to it. “I’ll give it back the next time I see you,” she said, and realized with horror that she’d said “next time.”

Pop Culture Reference from The Last Analog Teenagers #12: So I Can Vote

...I called Yorg from the upstairs phone, since, while Zoey was sprawled on the couch watching The Breakfast Club for the millionth time, she wasn’t above some not-so-casual eavesdropping.

Pop Culture Reference from The Last Analog Teenagers #11: The Dawn Rochelle Novels omggggg

“I can hear you, you know,” Zoey called from the back seat, but without looking up from her Lurlene McDaniel tearjerker, a hand-me-down from me.

I actually read @fklein907.bsky.social 's (Text) Messages from the Angel Gabriel last year -- twice, in fact -- but right around the time my cat died, so I didn't follow up with anything nice to say. But it's great and you should read it! This one reminds me of that weird mall episode of Atlanta.
