c1946 Parker vacumatic fountain pen. Very fine writing nib which was even better after some very minor tuning. Currently inked with Diamine Registrar’s which is a modern formulation of an iron-gall ink. Starts of a very light blue but darkens on the page to a lovely blue-black.

I did a very niche thing yesterday: put a rather fine fountain pen nib from a late 1940’s Sheaffer tuckaway pen that had a badly damaged body onto an inexpensive Chinese pen that had a nib I hated. It worked and it writes really well.

These are some of my absolute favorites though.

My writing tool carry for the day. I’m so glad I got over my silly aversion to hooded nibs.
Five inexpensive Chinese fountain pens (Wing Sung 601 & 601a, and three Hero 565’s), a mechanical pencil & erasure, and a clutch-type lead holder (that I use as a highlighter) all on my homemade pen roll.
