Pro-choice mom. Texan. All about #Houston. Council Member of #DistC.
Thanks to the #Txlege House Dems the rest of America got to work.

Great to welcome Gov. @gavinnewsom.bsky.social to #Houston. Like @texasdemocrats.bsky.social and @texasaflcio.org, he knows a thing or two about standing up to #Trump.

Proud this was in #DistC at @ibewinternational.bsky.social 716.

Concrete batch plants do not belong next to schools.

Today I joined families protesting the dangerous concrete plant that resumed operations next to early childhood centers. I’m working to facilitate a meeting for parents w/ TXDOT (using the plant for highway construction).

I’m with these parents.

I’m joining 100s of experts around the U.S. to publicly testify at @EPA to OPPOSE repeal of Greenhouse Gas regulations (The Endangerment Finding and vehicle regulations under Clean Air Act).

Tell them to protect our kids’ lungs and our families from #ClimateChange at EPA.gov

Thank you @whitehouse.senate.gov for visiting us in #Houston to continue the fight for affordable home insurance.

Insurance costs are skyrocketing bc of #ClimateChange. Residents are boxed into policies w/ soaring premiums and often can’t get new plans.

Meanwhile extreme weather is increasing.

As an attorney I’m sounding the alarm against #TXlege intentional discriminatory redistricting scheme.

I’ve formally submitted testimony to the State House Committee on Redistricting

You can testify:

As our collective hearts in Texas are with every single family impacted by the devastating #kerrflood in the Hill Country. The nightmare is not over.

One of the missing girls from Camp Mystic includes #DistC Sinclair student Greta Toranzo.

Please call with any information. Share with others.

Today’s peaceful #NoKing protests are a reminder of what and who #Houston is, and our message of democracy and freedom.

As we welcomed 15k+ people to City Hall, it was my privilege to introduce our veterans at today’s rally and recognize volunteers, organizers, labor, and public safety personnel.

IFYKYK: Traveling with your little ones can be hard, going to the bathroom shouldn’t be.

Family-friendly child seats are being installed at #Houston airports! First ones are in at new IAH Terminal D West family restrooms!

❤️ to our Airport team for working with me to make this happen.

Houston must be prepared for increasing natural disasters and extreme weather. As City Council considers the FY26 budget, it needs to reflect the realities of today.

I will continue to keep the focus on disaster preparedness funding. #DistC

We did it! Electric vehicle charging stations are coming to Buffalo Bayou Park!

Our office is funding this new effort with Downtown Houston and other community partners.

Let’s ensure the clean energy transition is available to all #Houstonians.

It was truly an honor to be awarded by Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA) as we continue to fight for domestic violence survivors and their kids in court.

We’re seeing devastating federal funding cuts that are a lifeline for orgs like AVDA. Now’s the time to help.

Today I teamed up w/ CM Castillo to host an 11th St. Corridor Safety Project Listening Session.

100+ joined, including kids, PTAs, civic orgs, & businesses. We’re listening to Houstonians. We hope the city will re-instate community based feedback before decisions on projects are unilaterally made.

Leading up to #EarthDay in #DistC, we hosted our annual rain barrel sale!

Discounted rain barrels help residents lower water bills, reduce flooding, and mitigate drought. Big thanks to Trees for Houston for giving free🌳’s for all!

Gratitude to all our amazing volunteers from HOPE 123 and IBEW 716

THIS is #Houston turning out for #Democracy as millions around our country are losing jobs, their savings, and safety nets.

Only 3 min allowed on Bluesky but it keeps going and going.

Thousands are turning out against Trump. This is not a red vs blue thing. It’s a right vs. wrong thing.

That’s a wrap on the @pgatourus.bsky.social Houston Open at #DistC’s Memorial Park.

Congrats Min Woo Lee and to all the players who came to #Houston to play.

No where else do you get this on a PUBLIC municipal course.

Incredible job @houstonastros.bsky.social foundation + all staff + volunteers.

I’m still trying to find the right words. But one thing was clear as I looked at Houston’s skyline today—a view he loved—this extraordinary man gave his life to our city and to our nation.

To my dear friend, mentor, and Congressman-we will carry the torch.

Beautification matters.

Was along Brays Bayou in #DistC checking out the Marilyn Estates mini mural we funded and ran into some dude putting up #illegalbandit signs.

Told him to get them out of our district.
He pulled them up and left.

ps mini mural is looking GREAT!
