The visit for most of us was more about Mamdani visiting the oval office, standing in and speaking from that office, and reminding us all what it might one day look like to see someone young, dynamic, and focused on human values representing the country.

May the wider world see its rising role, as the US sets its sights on decline, loses its values, and loses its heart. They make short work of doing the wrong thing and we are all coming to expect it. Ukraine, be strong, be the country that continues even as it roots out corruption.

This is absolutely true. Even when it did have a stance it was beginning to decline (particularly in more remote areas) by providing the weakest customer service in the store’s history ~2023 forward. Entering one location on a Christmas Eve there was not one checker on duty. Not a single one.

It should be noted that it is still possible raise a young man to be kind and brave and good to all people. One such was just elected mayor of new york city. It begs the question why anyone is focusing at all on what makes other men (or anyone) less brave and less kind. They are lost. Very lost.
