Meanwhile, everyone who just started reading this comic recently: “Why are the two people who just took a bow on stage now suddenly back in the audience commenting on their own performance, and why did that guy’s suit change color?”

At least the parrot is finally learning to speak in speech bubbles instead of narration boxes; that’s something.

“…and she’s drawing big yellow stripes on all of her shirts with a highlighter.”

Well, I think that might follow from the resulting madness anyway.

Is… is “snack and stream” a thing that people actually say now-a-days? Or is this an attempt at wordplay on something else that I’m not catching? Or has all the lead in those CHIPS finally twisted Sarge’s brain a little too much?

If I remember correctly there *are* squirrels, or something like squirrels, but they hunt in packs, attack on sight, and their bite has a venom that drives you mad.

Heck, that actually sounds pretty good. Maybe it could even be a Harold Teen crossover with Pop Jenks behind the counter and Harold & Lillums at the next table over.

More weird things? Heck yeah!

Why choose between LL and LL when you can have LLLL?

“…and right now I’m really hoping I live up to the hype.”

Always, Flash. Always.

Flash is a strong believer in McQuack’s Maxim: any crash that everybody can walk away from counts as a landing.

“Moooooom, the pets are talking in narration boxes again, make them stop”

How on earth does he manage to perfectly nail the “kid who just googled ‘how to do oral book report when not read book’ half a minute ago” facial expression in every single photo he’s in?
November 9, 2025 at 8:09 PM
“Bringing Up Father” a century ago had a similar weirdness… every attractive female character was drawn in exactly the same Gibson Girl style, meaning that the ladies Jiggs endlessly flirted with happened to look way too similar to his own daughter.

To be fair, you also need to be pretty deep into the lore to understand that Alistair and Amos are different characters. Or that Lolly, Polly, and Edda are different characters.

I recall reading about a British guy in the 1980s who did some market research to determine the average weekly allowance of local 12-year-olds, then started a company that churned out a new cheap video game each week for that price.

$20 to me seems pretty typical for a VHS at the time. I don’t think I would have paid $40 unless it was, like, a fancy artsy film from an art museum gift shop or something.

I remember being surprised to realize, while looking at old advertisements some years ago, that computer games in the 1980s—of the sort that would now probably be published for free on a website, even text-adventure games—were typically priced at $30, $40, even $50.
