JD Vance has had such a good life in this country. It's been overwhelmingly kind and gracious to him. He is far wealthier than most. Yet he oozes with contempt. My honest, non-trolling advice to JD Vance is that you'd be a much happier person if you showed a little gratitude.

You are all seeing what types of media the billionaires what to provide you with. It is more important than ever for readers to support *and pay for* independent news organizations and writers while we still have them.
I was in Missoula several years ago and my dad and I went to the church there. They have a whole display about the MacLeans. A beautiful book. The movie is different in some fundamental ways, but gorgeous in its own right, particularly Redford’s narration.

One of the federal institutions I visit here in BC has a geriatric unit. Wheelchairs, walkers, canes, Alzheimer’s, etc. Other inmates can become caretakers.

Here in British Columbia, when folks find out I’m from Texas, they justifiably raise their eyebrows. I’ve occasionally said that I’m evangelical in the theological sense, but not the cultural sense I grew up with. These days, I’m not sure that clarifies diddlysquat up here.
