Spare me your "cyclists are dangerous" comments. In my years of parenting as my kids leave the house to play, go to school, go out with friends or do anything outside, I’ve never once had to say Watch out for people on bicycles.

Steven is a Metro Transit bus driver AND bike commuter who uses the frozen lakes as winter bike path shortcuts, so he measures the ice (& shares results) to make sure it's safe for biking!

This is a local office building's idea of a bike rack.
The location is good. It's near the entrance, well lit, covered, very visible.
The rack itself? Uh... not so good. No frame support. Tire width has a definite maximum. Can't get a U-lock anywhere near the frame. WTF?

This bike rack by Shake Shack at U Village is awesome! 8 staples, tools, a pump, and outlets for charging, all under a nice-looking roof for protection from the weather. This is what bike parking should look like!
