It finally happened! And it's amazing. #cardiacs

The latest issue of Record Collector features a massive 6-page feature on #Cardiacs! And almost a full page of that is an interview with me on the book I created with the group. Take a look!

Yeah, that’s me.
That this record actually got finished is incredible and a huge relief, but the fact that it is indeed REALLY FUCKING GOOD is absolutely insane.
Love to all.
hey Rob, is it you credited for doing drumfuckery on the new Cardiacs release or is it some unrelated Rob Crow who works on dense and silly prog-ish punk-ish tunes?

File this under things no one is gonna care about. BUT after a few weeks of trial and error, I finally salvaged 15.5GBs of data off of 24-year-old CD-Rs that wouldn't mount.

Great article in Evansville Living about the end of Melodic Virtue as well as my current and future endeavors. Thanks, Jodi!

From the archive: Off-Ox “Best Best Western”

This was the first single I wrote and recorded under the name Off-Ox. It features long-time collaborator @cattemper.bsky.social. And of course, the design is by me as well. The collage/toner transfer is by Robert Hardgrave and Julia Freeman.

All of the good stuff always happens when I leave town.
Sinkhole Mishap at SE Riverside & Chestnut.

A vehicle went into the barricaded area and drove in the sinkhole. EFD & EPD on scene.

It’s a real privilege to be recognized for work that I genuinely love to do. Thank you to the AAF for the Silver Medal Award and to everyone who has supported me along the way. I’m truly grateful and looking forward to many more years of creative endeavors.

I've been working with Juliana Hatfield and American Laundromat on her reissues for a while. But I'm most proud of this one. With photography this strong, it's nice to take a minimalistic approach to the design and let the photos do the heavy lifting.

In 1968, one year after Sir Beef opened, KFC opted to launch Kentucky Beef with remarkably similar branding. 👀

"The first Sir Beef restaurant was opened in Rockford, IL in December of 1967. At the time, it seemed everyone was riding the roast beef sandwich craze, and Farmer's Daughters Enterprises of Evansville, IN hoped to franchise the new restaurants throughout the country."

Working on this book has been one of the more challenging yet meaningful experiences I’ve had this year. @robcrow.bsky.social told me the people in and around #Cardiacs are some of the best on this planet, and he wasn’t exaggerating. Not even a little.

My friend Tom Stern, close to finishing his years in the making Butthole Surfer doc, lost everything on Wednesday. His house and studio burned down in Altadena while Anderson Cooper was broadcasting live on CNN. He is okay but lost all of his possessions. Please give him a hand.
