Someone needs to tell this granting agency how to create good Likert scales (I am trying to figure out how to review a grant)
Grant scores must be in a range from 0 to 100. Anchors offered are Outstanding from 100 to 95, Excellent from 94 to 90, Very good from 89 to 85, Good from 84 to 75, and Weak from 74 to 0.

4/ Using this model, found that when the limb is stationary or moving very slowly, multisensory integration offers a refined state estimate. However, when the limb moves faster, sensory delays cause a state estimate based on sensory feedback to become poor.
Model simulation results examining how the model behaves in response to varying sensory delays and sensory variance. As movement speed, sensory variance, or delays increase, the probability that a bimodal integrated state estimate will reasonably reflect the true limb position declines.

3/ To understand these data, we updated a commonly used model of multisensory integration to account for sensory feedback delays. In particular, we accounted for the fact that feedback from different sensory modalities are delayed to different extents.
Illustration of the updated maximum likelihood estimation model accounting for sensory feedback delays while the limb is moving. Here we depict sensory feedback (represented as Gaussian distributions) available at three different time points; the current time, some time in the past due to the proprioceptive delay, and some time in the past due to the visual delay. At the current time, we only have access to delayed proprioceptive and visual information, which creates a discrepancy between the actual integrated sensory estimate based on delayed feedback and the ideal integrated sensory estimate had there been no delays.

2/ To study this we presented discrepant visual/proprioceptive feedback. People were asked to report one modality and ignore the other. For static endpoints, people were biased toward the other modality, suggesting multisensory integration. When reporting perceived motion, people were unbiased.
Figure has 4 panels. The top two panels show reaches from one person in the static estimation task and the dynamic estimation task respectively. The bottom panels show group level data from these two tasks. In the static task, individuals show a bias toward the discrepant sensory modality (particularly when attempting to report vision and ignore proprioception), relative to when feedback from only a single sensory modality is present. In the dynamic task, individuals exhibit no biases when feedback from both modalities are present relative to when feedback from a single modality is present.
