Revisited Picnic at Hanging Rock at Home Cinema. Despite what the haters, that new 4K is stunning. Film itself has jumped to the top of my favourite Peter Weir films.

Loved the top 4. 5 is very good. 6 + 7 quite good. 8 fine. The two musicals are pretty bad.

Handed in my notice at Tesco a few days ago after over a decade of working at this store and just went in to empty my locker. Feels strange, but grateful for the experience and people I gained there, even though I was very much tapped out and ready to move on towards the end. New beginnings!

RIP to truly one of the greats, Gene Hackman. His performance in The Conversation is one of my absolute favourites; not just because it's great but it also showcased how timid and vulnerable he could go. His big typical Gene Hackman roles were just as great too! Legend.

Watched Fred Zinnemann's 1948 post WW2 neorealist inspired film The Search last night. A pretty good film that had me thinking about current events in Gaza as I wrote here, particularly the last part.

Hauled my hungover self through the chaos of town during the Christmas season to revisit cult classic The Hitcher at Cultplex! Fantastic restoration from @secondsightfilms.bsky.social and just terrifically bleak as I remember it being. Shame about the couple behind me who wouldn't shut up.

Had an inset day at my other job. We had the choice of a well being activity. Football, gong therapy, cake and reading, were a few of the choices. Quite rightly I chose pet therapy with the cutest animals!
