Session today: 5 seconds. That’s all it took to continue to push through a scheme to strip voters of power.

Instead of lowering costs, keeping families safe, or fixing health care, this is how extremists in the Missouri GOP are spending their energy and your tax dollars.

Grateful to everyone who showed up today to stand united for fair representation. Huge thanks to the Missouri Legislative Black Caucus for your leadership and for hosting this important press conference. #moleg

Three years ago, the Missouri House stood up for fair representation. By my midnight math, 38 Republicans (and 18 Democrats) who served in #moleg then are still serving now and helped defeat the extreme 7–1 map (it failed 120–23.)

Today, I was proud to see the governor sign my bill giving permanent designation to the Officer Cody Allen Memorial Highway. Cody gave everything in service to Independence and the Independence Police Department and now his sacrifice and legacy will be remembered for generations to come. #moleg

Last week I joined leaders from across the country at #FutureSummit in DC, the largest bipartisan gathering of Gen Z and millennial lawmakers. We shared bold ideas, built coalitions, and imagined what a stronger, more collaborative future could look like. Thank you Future Caucus!

A new report today from the MO Department of Health and Senior Services says 80% of pregnancy-related deaths in MO were preventable.

But yesterday, the exact supports moms need to survive - funding for doulas, crisis care, and mental health - were vetoed.

We MUST do better. health.mo.gov/pamr

They said a Democrat couldn’t win here.
We proved them wrong. Twice.
Since then, I’ve worked across the aisle to defend public schools, expand mental health care, and put people over politics.
Now I need your help to hit our June 30 goal. Can you help?🔗https://secure.actblue.com/donate/aaroncrossley

Being their dad is the greatest honor of my life. They make me braver and more determined to build a world worthy of them.

Happy Father’s Day to every dad doing their best to show up with love and presence.

Honored to join colleagues today as Governor Kehoe signed SB 81 into law. This bipartisan bill strengthens public safety and includes my legislation to extend the Line of Duty Compensation Act, supporting families of fallen first responders. #moleg

🚨Governor Kehoe has called a special session starting June 2 to address disaster relief, unfinished budget appropriations, and economic development incentives to keep the Chiefs and Royals in Missouri. Read his full proclamation here: governor.mo.gov/proclamation...

In one day, Missouri Republicans voted to overturn abortion rights, strip workers of paid sick leave, and silence debate.

This isn’t governing.

Missourians will have the final say. Again. And we’ll be ready.

Mother’s Day is just a good excuse to say what we should every day: we’re lucky to be yours.

On #TrumanDay, I’m thinking about this visit Jess and I made to the U.S. Capitol a couple weeks ago standing with Missouri’s own President Harry S. Truman. His leadership reminds us that integrity and plainspoken truth still matter. The buck stops here.

My bill to extend the Line of Duty Compensation Act has passed the legislature and is headed to the Governor’s desk. This bipartisan effort ensures families of fallen first responders get the support they deserve.

Joined some great Missourians last weekend at the @lgbtqvictoryfund.bsky.social brunch in DC, where I got to meet Congresswoman Sarah McBride and Tim Gunn. A clear reminder: no one should have to justify their humanity.

Appreciated the chance to join the Independence Chamber of Commerce for a legislative briefing with Representatives Steinmeyer and Jobe recently. Always good to connect directly with our business community and talk about the issues shaping Missouri’s future!

Picked up my Library of Congress reader card today!

It’s a small piece of plastic, but it feels like holding a key to the nation’s story. Excited to be able to dig into the history, ideas, and dreams that have shaped America.

Happy Earth Day!

Izzie and I got a head start yesterday: planted basil, tomatoes, strawberries, and a redbud tree and knocked out a little yard work too.

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate today, check out this event at George Owens Park at 3:30pm: www.independencemo.gov/events/earth...

At a time when so many are facing the sting of death - death of a job, a dream, a relationship, or even just the life they thought they’d have - I’m reminded this Easter that it’s more important than ever to be people who give life and love to our neighbors. Happy Easter!

I stopped by the AFGE District 9 town hall tonight to stand with our federal workers - folks who serve all of us, no matter the party in power. When expertise is silenced and professionalism is politicized, democracy suffers. #AFGEStrong

This morning, I was reminded that faith isn’t passive. It calls us to act. In a world longing for justice and compassion, our worship leads us to stand with the vulnerable and speak truth to power. #PalmSunday

“He released the man they asked for, the one who had been put in prison for insurrection and murder, and he handed Jesus over as they wished” (Luke 23:25).
