Some early designs and exploration for the "Survivors": people caught in the in-between, scavenging and managing the hardships. 🌍✨ It was fun to think about makeshift and scavenged outfit parts, while still adding a bit of personality!💕

Since Belle not up yet - maybe really tired after letter-delivery? Instead perkusit, we went to powder pile, to give beads! Shokan happy that when brought them. I like Shokan a lot - has scales! (Sketch of Xhokan from SoT AP with a little description 'I try but smudge a little') He give new sprite lump of clay, but not think sprite understand 'metaphor'. She try to plant seed in clay. Strange sprite, always try to make things about flo- wers and plants. Even followed around by strange little plant on leg. She storm away, so we take the coin for. Will give later. Think sprite not understand how money work, though. So, for now, we keep 44 coins in a pouch. We go back, and visit kitchen too, to introduce. Lumusi there! I like Lumusi, she give food. Remind of Mirabelle a little. Miss home lately. Shai miss too. Lumusi say Shokan smartest person here. I wonder, maybe I ask Shokan advice how write and put thought on paper. Sometimes not easy, and sometimes when want to write something, thought escape before on paper. Very frustrating. Went to Xhokan! He always so nice. Sadly, not have any oils. But, we get bells! And a big sack. Very not nice, so we ask for gloves too. Even have glove for tail!! Xhokan is so nice. [doodle of a jar, a stack of gloves and a snake with a 'tail glove' on his tail] Odd though. Gwyn also ask for a jar. But wince very hard when saying 'jar'. wonder if jar maybe sworn enemy of sprite? [doodle of a catterpillar with a 'not sure where front and where bak' next to it] The catterpillar we looking for! We find the tree that Ankorroot say we find the red-caps. But it look a bit off. Ominous. Scary. And very sick! Tree has mushroom all over it. Gwyn went to talk to tree, to ask if we can gather mushroom, so I draw the tree meanwhile! [big doodle of a tree witha shadow on its left seemingly glaring at the viewer. The edges of the page are tinted red] Shai work hard on studies, but very tired, so she drink strange brown sludge. She call it 'coffee'. Not liking the smell of it. After breafkast, we go to meet a bug-person teacher named Koride Ulawa!. She give us new task! Quest: Investigate bugs in various places! (marked as complete) - Dorms - Water-side stage - Kitchens - Leshy gardens (portrait of a dark skinned woman with large earrings and beads around her neck signed 'Koride Ulawa') We got a potion for centipede venom from dorm and ask Erebus to find centipede in dorm. He eat one but then bring another, this time not eat it. Then we go to lake-side and grab a water strider. They very cute! While we capture, someone on other side of canal see us and wave! And Manyara and Bella play out a scene, like it was theater! Maybe they should join theater group, because they really good! On other shore, a magister mayor person send a little paper boat to us with a pretty feather! I not sure what the feather about but the boat very cool so I keep! There the cook very annoyed, because apparently kitchens infested with mites and cook help go inside and not go outside. Can mites eat people? Because we peek in and not see cook help. A little worry! Teacher say maybe it divine intervention - because of dreams we have been having. If dreams mean gods involved, is that good or bad that we dream about dancing spiders and ants and stuff? I wonder. On our way back, we meet teacher Ot again, and he say that he need a few books found. Apparently they not in normal libraries. So we have to look through spooky unused libraries. He give us list of various books with very long titles and I didn't mange to write them down because it a little much. Discarded bells like when used for the Anchor Root ritual, and I think inside probably gremlins. I not like it. Not one bit. We peek in and it a dim, smelly place. A lot of dila- pidated bookshelves and dust and suspicious signs of bugs. We look around, try to find book but not find the ones teacher Ot want. (picture of aninside of a very messy library with a dilapidated floor and unkempt bookshelves surrounded by darkness in which eyes are seen) We not finding anything. Maybe we should go home. Place gives me the creeps. Think I heard something in other room too. I really not like it here at all...

An internet guy just told me I should “use AI so that I don’t have to make artwork”. What a strange comment. Have to? I don’t “have to” make art. I like doing it. Imagine telling someone to just let an AI eat all of their ice cream so they don’t have to eat it themselves. Like, what?
