As we celebrate this Mid-Autumn season, may we see the harvest not only as God’s provision for us, but also as God’s invitation to proclaim good news to the hungry, to embody Christ’s abundance, and to live as though the feast of the Kingdom has already begun.

But Scripture also reminds us that abundance is never meant for hoarding. Paul, in 1 Corinthians, rebukes those who feast while others go hungry. God’s Kingdom is marked not by scarcity, but by a table where all are fed and none are left out.

For Christians, these rhythms of the earth remind us of God’s daily provision. When we pray, “Give us today our daily bread,” we acknowledge that every gift of harvest, every grain and fruit, comes from the Creator’s hand.
