I don't want to upset anyone. I want to understand more. This is not a disingenuous question but it feels dangerously close to something that could be; so I want to be cautious.

What is your definition of that word, that makes it so upsetting for you?

I've phrased this differently elsewhere but... that's not how I have *ever* intentionally used that word.
It's also not a term I use at all for trans people. The word has been my ring-fence keeping purely fictional content away from real-world and fictional trans portrayals.

"It's not real, you should be able to portray what you want, in whatever context you want, and people should get over it" and "oh, yeah, I didn't like it until you posted the stupid, grinning 'consent chibi' in the corner" can both be true.

Honestly, consent is *really* important to me, so I'll see sarcastic stuff like a chibi version of a character grinning and holding up an "I consent! :D" sign in the corner of a scene and it actually helps and makes me more comfortable with stuff I would otherwise not enjoy.
