#vibecoding can be amazing. Had a moment of inspiration for a #cat themed #game this morning: What if Arkanoid had a lovechild with a pinball machine? Well, slap some cat's eye marbles in there (to be on theme), and now we're about 75% of the way to a solid, if chaotic, button masher.

You know who's bad at making puzzles? LLMs. Getting up and running on #Cluade #Code helped with going from idea to game, but between Claude and every ChatGPT model, I can't get anything to create a good puzzle map for my next #vibecoade game. Even when I gave it an example, it just mangled them🤦

What seems to totally confound #Claude and #ChatGPT? Apparently code relating to yarn balls. A simple word descramble #vibrcoade game is proving to be more than either can handle. We haven't even gotten close to working fundamentals after a week, always devolving into hallucinations.

Finally made progress, and in the home stretch on this #cat #game. #Claude was all over the place so badly that it ended up hallucinating the need to code in a debugging window for added troubleshooting (which wasn't needed, but OK.) Hoping Whiskers can come out to play tomorrow.

Making progress - at this point a few more tweaks and some added sounds/music and it'll be good to go.

Anyway, working on the next #vibecode round, a take on the single-screen platform jumper, similar to the first level of Donkey Kong. The nice thing is fitting in 15-20 minutes at a time while having breakfast or baking cookies. Claude 3.7 made a very playable first draft.
