The purpose of the Declaration of Independence is to declare the King is no longer sovereign. Narrator: Throughout history, most people had been subjects, living under authoritarian rule. "All experience hath shewn," Jefferson wrote, "that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable." George III himself, not the Parliament, was now the enemy. The Declaration denounced him as "unfit to be the ruler of a free people," guilty of 18 "injuries and usurpations," all meant to establish, it read, "absolute tyranny." It charged that he had invaded "the rights of the people," sent "swarms of officers to harass" them, imposed a standing army in peacetime, levied taxes without the colonists' consent, and was now waging war against them.

Ben Bader's cause of death has been revealed. The 25-year-old influencer died on Oct. 23 after he was found "unresponsive" at a clubhouse in Admiral's Cove, a private Florida community, Jupiter Police Department spokesperson Shawn Reed previously confirmed to People. Bader's cause of death was " coronary atherosclerosis due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease," and the manner of his death was ruled as "natural," according to a report by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner obtained by People.

Jordain Carney 11/18/2025, 3:44PM ET Senate Majority Leader John Thune said he expects the Senate will pass the bill to release DOJ files on the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as soon as Tuesday, a move that would send it to President Donald Trump for his signature. Thune told reporters the Senate could possibly pass it by unanimous consent, a maneuver that requires agreement from all 100 senators. The House passed it 427-1 with only Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) voting in opposition.

I just did another comparison of my old Fujifilm XT10 (2015) with iPhone 16 Pro (2024). The Fuji has more of a film-like quality even without the film emulation. I think the iPhone's processing tends to flatten things in trying to bring out detail and loses a bit of mood in the process.
