Introducing Darius Paymai, whose "sonnerie, air" is premiered on 20/09. Written as an hommage to Satie in the centenary year of his death, the piece draws on Satie’s Sonneries de la Rose+Croix from the same period as Vexations, which gave 840 its name.

Amalia Young is a violinist and violist based in South East London, specialising in classical and experimental music. She enjoys a varied career as a chamber and session musician, and joins us at 840 on 20 September.
