Most government spending is the mandatory programs which are defined by law - social security - Medicare - etc...

Only a small percentage is discretionary... And the majority of that is military. No way can he cut the amounts he's promising.

Can someone help me understand why the massive red shift stops west of Iowa - except for the 2 battleground states? If this was such a universal shift, why didn't we see it in the mountain time Zone or the West? It was definitely more prominent in early reporting areas of the country...

I really think that they don't understand, at all. There's been a massive shift and how information is distributed between then and now and the right wing "new" media has established a massive and effective footprint.

They live in a very different information environment than we do, we must change that as a country and I don't believe that corporate media is going to do it. If we can't change the information environment, we must change the way we convey our message

Look at these two graphs. It's clear that Republican voters have a completely different perception than what is objectively real.

I can think of two reasons for this:
1. A completely different information environment
2. Psychological differences in perception

We must address both issues...
