There's a LOT of conversation about the Telsa protest on Saturday in Meridian. Many activists and organizers are trying to get to the bottom of the event. I've talked with a lot of folks and here's my take:

The Idaho Liberty Dogs and The Old State Saloon are calling for people to defend a car dealership in a Boise suburb on March 29th.

Both groups have histories of Christian nationalism and antisemitism.

The Nazis behind "White Awesomeness Month" are going to defend a Tesla dealership with guns.

One of the highlights of going on Celebrity Jeopardy was that I got to tell @kenjennings.bsky.social a story about the role he may have played in helping me get my job at ESPN

Ironically, the more that people try to gatekeep the gun community, the more diverse it becomes. The next time you meet someone who bought their first gun because of "the way things are", make sure to thank a bigot. They'll love that.

Y'all if the majority of the community calls you on on bullshit maybe admit that you made mistakes and to take it on the chin instead of doubling down and looking even worse.
If you don't care how you look, think of other people. If you don't care about other people, why are you here?
