The CoCoRahs gauge for the 24 hour period from 17/07L to 18/07L had in it 1.40". Highest total since October 10th when 3.55" fell. For the month of December running ahead of normal now. It is getting a little soggy out there.

Past 30 days only .06" rainfall (.03" twice). Strong cold front moves thru this afternoon with hopefully a little more rain than that but it will be zipping right along. So? 8am ET surface map.

2nd coldest morning of the year here at my weather central on the east central coast of FL with 49.3. Coldest was on 21 January with 43.2. I do not wish it to be colder. Turn the heat back on please. And it is cold all over the SE Conus. Brr. 8am temps below-

Cold here this morning. Low of 50.7 which is the coldest since had 49.6 on 20 Feb. Colder inland. There is warmer weather in the way but will have to wait until this weekend.

Not clear blue and 22 as there is some cirrus to the north, but again no rain. 15 days now since. Strong cold front comes thru Friday afternoon/eve with possibly some showers then. Otherwise another cool start with patchy fog inland across the area.

Water temps of mid 70s surround the barrier island. Temps run 5 to 10 degrees warmer than inland. 54 here at my Tempest weather station.

This mornings sunrise was beautiful with pink colors off the base of the clouds, but I was riding the bike and didn't have my phone with me. Thus this picture will be a replacement.

30 day anniversary. Never posted on that other site. Even had my account suspended for unusual activity. Not posting I guess is unusual. 😆 So here over Florida and off over the ocean is what I believe are Actinoform clouds. Seen them off the west coast. Rarer this side? Correct me if I am wrong.

My weather set up. Tempest sensor on the left and Peet Bros anemometer. Tempest no moving parts. This is my 4th one in 4 years. Non moving innards can go haywire. But they have been very good at sending free replacements. The anemometer is very dependable. 3rd one in 30 years.

This morning's low of 64.9 is the lowest since April 25th when it was 63.1. Temps inland usually run 4 to 5 degrees lower than out here on the island when there is no wind or a light NW wind. And I do not like cold so that is fine. But later next week...it won't be so fine. Brr.

You can see some slight vertical development along the front. What little rain with it missed me. Force field up around Melbourne.

The cold front now passing thru the Melbourne area has so much forcing and moisture with it that I have gotten...nothing. But at least it will be cooler and less humid.
