Yo. I’m Mike. I recently disconnected from the other place and I’m trying to cultivate a positive space here about board games and TTRPGs and movies. So far it’s going pretty good, in that my feed does not yet induce panic attacks every time I peek at it. Send recs if ya got em.

Weekend viewing: Hold Your Breath…meh. Sarah Paulson/Ebon Moss-Bachrach are great but I just don’t find CGI dust storms that compelling. Then: Mr Crocket, which was delightfully bonkers and delivered fully on its promise of Elm Street meets Candyman in Pee Wees Playhouse.

I watched a lot of excellent horror films this year but none have stuck with me more, or were more unsettling, than Pascal Plante’s RED ROOMS. I can’t shake it.

Just arrived: Beautiful box set of The Blair Witch Project from secondsightfilms.co.uk. Of course I realized after I ordered that I can’t play region B discs at home…I will have to remedy this situation asap

Finally got around to trying Legacy Of Yu. Lost the first game but it was a pleasantly challenging puzzle! Great, fun decisions to make. Can’t wait to see how it unfolds!

A lot of my gaming is solo these days, so I’m stoked about this quick and fun tactical solitaire game The Lucky Seven. Great puzzles to solve. My joker almost made it to the machine guns in time.
