Hi! We're a couple of middle-aged neurodivergent nerds living in Ontario, Canada. We travel in our motorhome all over Ontario, blogging things like reviews, camping recipes, and whatever nonsense comes to mind.

Most husbands would send pretty scenic photos of what their crippled wife is missing out on.

Mine?

Some hyperlapse video of some of the SPECTACULAR Aurora Borealis show on October 10, 2024.

We took this video during a camping trip at Killbear Provincial Park - It was an amazing night!

I may have the humour of a 12 year old boy, but this is my absolute favourite sign in Bruce Peninsula National Park.

That building may not be the 'High Dump' indicated (that's actually a backcountry campground!)...

... But it IS a vaulted washrooms building, LMFAO!

4/4 We spent a LOT of time at Point Pelee National Park while staying at Wheatley... Gorgeous sunrises and lots of #birding!

All around, a great trip! Looking forward to seeing more of #Ontario #Canada.

3/4 Then it was off to Wheatley Provincial Park, where we scored a waterfront site.

The cats LOVED the view... And all the birds that visited our site.

We even saw a few Bald Eagles and Great Blue Herons fly right by our campsite!

2/4 While we were staying at Rondeau, we visited Keith McLean Conservation Lands for the first time.

Gorgeous property, tons of birds. Really lovely morning... With loads of adorable swallows.

1/4 Recently got back from our first "regular season" #camping trip of the year.

First up was Rondeau Provincial Park, a year after our first trip.

What a difference a few #birding apps can make!

Here are a few birds we saw, and our updated review. #ontario

A little bit of #birding this morning. First a Great Blue Heron flew by in front of us while parked, so I got a few pictures out the window. A few minutes later I saw several Killdeer at a nearby park. Killdeer are so weird, but adorable!

I completely forgot to share this photo of the #NorthernLights over Mew Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park a few weeks ago.

One of those times where the numbers were NOT exciting, but happened upon a good show anyway!

It was the best Aurora Borealis display we've seen in that park so far!

Did SO much food prep work today, getting things ready for camping trips thoughout the coming season.

Frozen prep for a few recipes we'll be shooting on our next camping trip, dozens of flavoured protein powder mixes, protein pancake mixes (pictured), a few campfire cookie mixes, and more! -M

Given its proximity to the Greater Toronto Area, Valens Lake Conservation Area is a great way to try Winter Camping.

Here's what you need to know!

We spotted SO many birds of prey today! Managed to get great photos of this Golden Eagle that was VERY close to the road, and this Rough-Legged Hawk as well.

This morning we went out to see if we could get some shots of the Red-Tailed Hawk that we've seen around here. We didn't see that one, but we did see this Rough-Legged Hawk. It's really fun to see such cool birds nearby!

Here are some ducks and a bald eagle that we saw today. This is one of the cool birding spots in Hamilton, ON. So many different ducks all swimming back and forth!

Went out #birding to see the Long Tailed Ducks in the Burlington Canal.

I didn't even know they existed, a few months ago... Now we can see hundreds of them in one spot! - M

It was a little warmer today so we went to Lake Ontario to look at ducks. We lucked out and saw a bunch of long tailed ducks near the shore. They quickly swam away from us, but we got a good look and some nice shots.

Just got back from a quick winter camping trip to Pinery Provincial Park.

Not a favourite park of ours, but the sunsets there really are amazing! - M

These little Plovers are tough to see because they're so small, but they're so adorable! Shorebirds in general are just super adorable, aren't they?

You know, I get that Lake Huron is famous for their sunsets, but I never hear anything about the amazing sunrises we get over Lake Ontario.

Pro tip: partly cloudy morning with rain forecasted for that afternoon/evening = good chance of amazing sunrise - M

Looking back over some of our (THOUSANDS OF!) photos from our camping trips this past year.

The rock formations at Sturgeon Bay Provincial Park were really cool.

The park didn't really live up to the rocks, but hey, I'm always down for seeing something new - M
