Haven't seen a single one in a couple decades, but those were definitely lobster traps.

Driving out of #AlgonquinProvincialPark this morning, I saw I pickup truck that was loaded up with... Lobster traps.
Haven't seen a single one in a couple decades, but those were definitely lobster traps.

It's still so weird to me that I grew up a 7 hour drive away from my husband, and he gets so few of the cultural references I grew up with.
To me, certain forests or Northern Ontario beaches feel like a 1980s CBC show.
Like... it's a vibe.

That building may not be the 'High Dump' indicated (that's actually a backcountry campground!)...

A little bit of #birding this morning. First a Great Blue Heron flew by in front of us while parked, so I got a few pictures out the window. A few minutes later I saw several Killdeer at a nearby park. Killdeer are so weird, but adorable!

We spotted SO many birds of prey today! Managed to get great photos of this Golden Eagle that was VERY close to the road, and this Rough-Legged Hawk as well.
