Mostly poetry and soccer from an antifascist, neurodivergent, genderqueer, Christian heretic perspective. Also practical and impractical uses of language and images in and out of our current context, and an item a day from the published archives.

Me: “Please bring me a screwdriver.”
Wife: “Flat head, Phillips, or vodka?”

And that was when I knew she was the one.

I keep telling y’all your voice is the horse you add to your poem!! (this says what I mean better though)
You should write weird, human stuff as a fuck-you to AI and the awful world we live in, yes, but also because you will be changed and your life will be changed through allowing yourself to be vulnerable and uncomfortable in your art.

Agartha’s surge on Instagram is pushing Nazi mythology into the mainstream, with teens using the meme to target teachers by race & religion. Extremists like Martin Sellner are now leveraging the trend to normalize white nationalist ideology—another example of Meta’s failure to curb harmful content.

Thoughts of you form
an ornamental image
in my mind—

decadent swathes
of imagination
that colour my days
in opulent shades
& lustrous textures

my sense of you—
deep burgundy hue,
a feeling of velvet
draped over skin

sensual dreams
I marinate in
like a giant glass
of rich red wine

White and edgelord humor is one long line of insincere bullying that depends in you not wanting to be the person who “doesn’t get the joke”

How did that go?
Is there anything that
I could have done better?

[I did the best I could with
what I knew at the time]
What is the learning
opportunity here?

Of wet and of wildness? Let them be left,
O let them be left, wildness and wet;
Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet”

There Is No Trolley Problem
We actually aren't constrained into atrocious premises by thought exercises. Obstacles are a reason to fight, not an excuse to quit. Our friends and neighbors aren't distractions..
