We should know better than to rely on one cloud service provider for our software, as also seen by the recent AWS outage, but hey, the cloud advertises itself as this vague, always available, redundant and load balanced thing...

Having recently been confronted with people desceibing how they handled life until the 90s with Stasi (German Democratic Republic) around and among them, their methods over around 40 years: there's still offline tactics to be used. Calculated unpredictability will be used by state too, regardless.

Steam deck is a best seller? Unexpected and nice! Will it ever be available in my regions tho? Much like the Index controllers that never were... This unnecessarily fragmented world sucks.

At least, with a minimal mental transfer effort, that can be seen indirectly as criticism about losing free speech/not having free speech rights in general, independently of country.
