Have a blog, will post lots of Jenna Coleman gifs.
Game of Thrones is trying to advertise it's latest spin-off and it just sounds like a trolling meme from 2008.

Eternity
⭐️⭐️1/2
"The premise of this movie hinges on the idea that the afterlife is "just one thing forever" and you have to decide what it is with travel agents at a crowded airport. Are we sure this isn't just Hell?"

Wake Up Dead Man
⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Wake Up Dead Man is darker and more measured than the other Benoit Blanc films, to the point where it's probably the least fun to watch. But it also has the wildest and least predictable third act, which makes up a lot of ground."

What really blows my mind about this story is that the reason more Rush Hour movies don't exist in the first place is because Chris Tucker keeps them stalled due to high salary demands and script approval. I highly doubt "Donald Trump wants it" is going to suddenly change that.

Sisu: Road to Revenge
⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Sisu dun killed all the Nazis. There are no Nazis left to kill. He's gotta kill all the Commies now."

And finally, of Joel's trio of the season, Demon Squad is the most charming and lovable production of the bunch. It doesn't have much competition, but this is another movie I'd watch outside of the show and am looking forward to the sequel!

The best movie in Emily's line-up is Doctor Mordrid, which is a goofball but a cheesy good time. I could watch this movie riffed and unriffed an the experience is mostly the same.

Season 13 has three movies that I enjoy, and they were each riffed by different hosts, so let's list them all!

The best movie of the season is The Mask, bar none. It's a fairly effective, if slightly inane, chiller that's a lot of fun to watch. It's Jonah's highlight of the season.

Season 12's Gauntlet really only has two okay movies in its line-up, being The Day Time Ended and Killer Fish. Killer Fish has a more focused story and is less choppy, though I'll grant Day Time Ended runner up status for having a fun asthetic.

Season 11 has some decent films, and I'm going to voice preference to The Time Travelers and At the Earth's Core. Despite some issues with the second half, I'm going to give Time Travelers the win because I love the whole vibe and production design to that movie.

I don't particularly care for Diabolik, because I don't think Diabolik and Eva are interesting characters and it's hard to root for them. The movie is stylish though, and most of its setpieces are solid. It's a swing of competence in a mostly gonzo line-up of Season 10.

Gorgo stands out like a titan in Season 9. It's a movie that I have a couple of pacing issues with, but it's definitely a decent movie.
November 22, 2025 at 10:39 PM
The Sci-Fi Channel's hesitance to embrace the bad movie focus of the show started off with decent movies that progressively get worse. Revenge of the Creature is arguably the best movie featured on the show, full stop.

Season 7 is pretty schlocky. I've narrowed it down to Night of the Blood Beast, The Brute Man, and Laserblast, depending on what kind of schlock you like.

I love Universal Horror and Rondo Hatton, so it's The Brute Man for me.

This Island Earth succeeds in being This Island Earth. Good for This Island Earth.

Kitten With a Whip towers above almost everything else in Season 6. It's a flawed movie, but it has decent performances and a decent plot. It's worth a watch, which is more than I can say for any other movie this season.
November 22, 2025 at 10:33 PM
The Mike half of Season 5 is harder because they went with rougher movies during that span. Teen-Age Crime Wave is kinda fun trash, though.
November 22, 2025 at 10:32 PM
I'm stuck between Hercules and The Painted Hills for Season 5. I'm favoring the latter because it has less cheese in it and has a fairly interesting story. It's mostly weird because it's not what you'd expect from a Lassie film, but that's not enough to dismiss it.
November 22, 2025 at 10:30 PM
Season 4 is Space Travelers. It's not even close. It has Gregory Peck and Gene Hackman. What would beat that? Giant Gila Monster?
November 22, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Season 3 seesaw through a lot of TV junk and AIP B-movies. I almost gave it to Stranded in Space for being competent, but It's just too boring.

Let's give it to Amazing Colossal Man. That's got some zest to it. Maybe it's not an amazing movie but it does what it promises.

Season 2 is tough, because The Side Hackers and Catalina Caper are exactly what they want to be, what they want to be is, respectively, angry and annoying. Could go Lost Continent for the same reason I went with Black Scorpion, but the best film might be First Spaceship on Venus. It's bland but fine
November 22, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Most are going to point to Moon Zero Two being the movie highlight of Season 1, but as colorful as that movie is, its a dull nothing burger.

Give me a B&W monster movie anyday, so this comes down to Crawling Eye and Black Scorpion for me. Going to lean toward the latter for its effects work.

Still pondering this post, so let's deep dive into the best movies of each season!

It's time to 🧵🧵🧵🧵

For KTMA, I'm going to throw in City on Fire for being a basic, but competent, disaster movie. I can picture watching this movie by itself.

Deathstalker
⭐️⭐️⭐️
"The movie doesn't bother to "improve" Deathstalker. It knows exactly what Deathstalker is and crafts a modern day love letter to the trashy subgenre that spawned Deathstalker. The only step-up it has is more confident stuntwork and imaginative, if intentionally camp, effects."
