I saw this at Oregon Flock & Fiber last weekend and absolutely need to share. It’s meant to be embroidered (it’s available as a kit or just a tote) but it’s just beautiful as it is (or maybe colored with fabric markers?)

![Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.
There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.
What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.
It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. So I am not happy. Ok, I’m pissed. Kid goes to a public school (small town). Someone had the bright idea to have an assembly with a motivational speaker. The catch was that it was a sports ministry & absolutely no one (students/parents) were notified and given an opt-in/opt-out.

I really like my car. It has done me well. But we’ve hit the $$$$ midlife maintenance items that challenge the “it’s still cheaper than a car payment” mantra (I paid less for kid’s beetle than this last bill).

There’s 4 hawks in the trees by my house, at least 2 are fledged chicks. They’re hopping all around the limbs, making short flights, and making a big racket with their whistle calls. They seem to be leaving the chickens alone right now.
