Update. 190 MPs (out of 300) have voted to stop the martial law. However, as all political activities are illegal during martial law, so not sure how much of this will hold. lots of MPs now asking whether they should just go straight into impeachment vote given what has happened today.
UPDATE: The opposition has now broken into the parliament - some of them by breaking windows/doors in. They apparently have 150 parliamentarians in place and are now drafting a bill to stop the martial law
Now I am getting word that legal scholars /political scholars in Korea are now seeing this as a coup rather than a legal martial law announcement.
The president has been threatened to be impeached, and is currently blocking all access to the parliament - so they can't vote against his decision
