It took years of therapy, tons of arguments, & so many "quitting" moments for it finally to get through to me. And now it's the easiest it's ever been for me to be without weed. I look back on these images & feel nothing but sadness for the person that I used to be. But also comfort. It's not me now

Sometimes I do regret that things had to turn out this way, but at the same time it *was always going to be this way.* I know what kind of person I am now when it comes to impulses, control. I can't wean myself off of something like this, god knows I tried. Cold turkey was the only way for me to go.

Addiction is such an all-encompassing thing sometimes that makes it difficult to even begin to visualize a reality where you are without the substance, the using. At my worst I truly thought I could not be happy without marijuana in my life, that it was the only thing making me happy. Such a sad lie
