My book 'Serbia: A Modern History', is now out ! The product of 17.5 years of research and writing. Explains in just under 600 pages Serbia's path from Karaฤorฤe's First Serbian Uprising, though independence, the Balkan Wars, World War I and Yugoslav unification up to conquest by Nazi Germany.
Trump, Putin, Netanyahu and their supporters are not much liked in Britain, whereas the BBC is. But I suspect that a dull apparatchik like Starmer would rather remain unpopular with the voters than displease Trump.

I watched Star Trek a bit in the old days, but if it weren't for Facebook I'd never have known that the crew of starship Enterprise spend literally all their time telling dad jokes.
That book shows it wasn't as simple as 'Germany defeated Russia militarily, so its resistance collapsed'. The Germans won some battles and Russian territory, but less than the French in 1812. Germany won in 1917-18 because Russia's war effort created social tensions that brought about its collapse.
