This piece really speaks to me. I went through a similar journey that also started with not truly understanding Judaism or how I fit into it. I thought my doubts and cynicism towards God and religion were disqualifying, but I came to learn they were actually my most compatible connection to Judaism.

When demolition began on the Third Avenue Elevated Line, then 17-year-old photographer Sid Kaplan knew he was witnessing history. These #NYTMCollection photos, taken by Kaplan in 1955, document the end of the Third Avenue El in #Manhattan. The El had been running since 1878.
