I found multiple spelling mistakes on a client’s acting resume.

Spelling mistakes/typos are easy to make, so check your resume, and/or ask someone to proofread (bonus points if it’s an industry person who knows if it’s John vs. Jon or Sara vs. Sarah, etc.)

In Seattle, theatres are announcing their season generals with a week or two notice of the auditions. (Is this happening in other cities too?) If you wait for the announcement to select audition songs and monologues—you’re late. (Cont.)

Actors: if you approach auditions from a place of “I’m gonna take care of you for the next few minutes” rather than, “I hope they think good enough!” You will have so much more success!

Reminder—networking is not JUST going to events and meeting new people. It’s connecting and collaborating with your peers and building each other up! Today in a meeting with a peer I texted another peer and ended up all talking on the phone. Now there are plans for future collaborations.
