I have been carving hearts from extra special wood and I am entranced by nature’s canvas revealed. What better way to show your love for that special person - a forever message every time they are caressed. Of course they will become even more beautiful the more they are rubbed.

Carved some #lilac ready for the next craft market. Some dramatic lines in these spoons that make me happy.

I was gifted some #lilac and managed to carve a few spoons from it. Lilac is often cracked and unusable and also has a hollow corky core so it’s always a challenge but this was fairly fresh so most enjoyable. This one is to be gifted back to the source. 😊

Annoying the neighbors as I’m doing Boerewors for this evening’s Church dinner. 😂

We are hosting a South African themed dinner this Saturday at the Community Church In Harrisville. Made 100s koeksisters, 100s of frikadels, 30 lbs boerewors. Still to make the bobotie, yellow rice, melk tert, malva pudding and custard. It’s going to be epic!

Many trees around her have already lost their leaves but a few are still clinging on. Fall is somewhat earlier than usual probably due to drought stress.
