Not exaggerating, the r/nba ban might actually start a shift of sports content off of X, which would be a major traffic and content reduction. ESPN etc. rely on having X content linked or screenshotted and exposure multiplied on Reddit.
Today I counted more than 50 subreddits that went through with banning links from X, reaching more than 40 million combined members. At least 20 million of those members were encouraged to join Bluesky, instead.
