No project is too uninteresting to be initiated.
No interest is too random to be pursued.
No task is too important to be left unfinished —due to the above random interesting uninteresting projects.

I work in film/tv, where I start and finish things.

I’m amazed medical boards and educational institutions don’t have any wish to disassociate from these individuals who use their institutional credentials to incredibly destructive ends.
While Makary spreads bullshit about the origin of HIV.

(To be clear, this has been thoroughly investigated and fits neither the timing nor the molecular epidemiology of HIV).

“Why doesn’t the White House press room yell at Trump when he calls their colleagues names” have you looked recently at the roster of journalists with White House credentials. It’s like The Gateway Pundit and Jack Posobiec

That’s just what they want our enemies to believe! It’s the kind of news they’d leak if everything was working perfectly. I’m going to assume these are the best weapons systems ever.

Canada made weird tv shows because it was all being done with government funded art grant money so they fell in this wacky middle ground between “shoestring budget” and “no expectation to generate shareholder value” which is really the best way to make art

American Movie is my reset button whenever I feel I don't have any drive or passion anymore, Mark Borchardt's singular ambition despite everything (including common sense) telling him to stop is infectious and never fails to set me back on track. Takes place on thanksgiving too so points for that
What movie are you most thankful for? (not necessarily your favorite!)

I think plenty of it speaks to the state of the media, but an obvious one is that Vox and Vanity Fair barely investigated her and that she managed to commit an unforgivable journalistic crime before getting a book deal and walking into another prestige job, while plenty of others are being laid off
you know, what if they aren't actually a commentary on journalism or the state of media. what if these people are just extremely weird

I can mute “Nuzzi” and still end up with related posts like this in my feed because people aren’t including her name as it’s now just assumed. It’s just an impossible story to avoid.
I'm starting to appreciate how much this dumb girl enjoys fucking shit up

I have long believed (and continue to maintain) that every single list of all time great entertainment (movies, shows, albums, songs) is intentionally written wrong in order to make a lot of people mad as hell and trigger angry discourse that drive hate clicks.
The movie listed at #1 is so incredibly misplaced that it calls into question the veracity of the entire list. It belongs on the list, yes, but SO MUCH further down. An absolute, credibility-wrecking flub. Boo, @variety.com! Boo!

Amazing, depressing article about RFK Jr by Michael Scherer in The Atlantic. This graf at the end stayed with me. Our national policy is now based on the difference between 17 and 21 outcomes out of populations of 22000. As usual, hard to know if it is stupidity or dishonesty.

NGL, his love for Bloodsport is one of his few positive traits. That film is great* and is also like 37 minutes long. Perfect.

They should remake it with Wallace Shawn in the lead role, use face swapping tech where needed in the fights.
“Trump appears to want to revive the raucous comedies and action movies of the late 1980s to late 1990s. He’s passionate, for instance, about the 1988 Jean Claude Van Damme sports flick Bloodsport.”
