No writer should refuse to add alt text to their pictures cuz every writer should jump at the chance to describe something in text.

It's like a free writing prompt.

The struggle of trying to find good resources for sci-fi. Though at least when I do find them they’re interesting. Currently looking through terraforming and distinciation.

Any suggestions?

Great book! I'm excited to read the second two books of the series (I'm already part way through Ancillary Sword). Breg, Seivarden, and Lieutenant Awn are my favorite characters.

Ancillary Justice definitely earns the awards it received!

After the last episode of Wheel of Time season three, I really hope my theory of it performing a reverse Game of Thrones turns out true. We shall see.

As nice as it would be to finish something, I do love all the new ideas my brain spontaneously comes up with.

I should be writing... I should be writing... I should be...

Ooh! Look! A rabbit hole to go into.

Working on a new short story involving a dormant alien megastructure. Can't wait to inflict it on my poor writing group on Friday.

Though who knows? Maybe it will be polished by then!

Really enjoying reading Ancillary Sword and loved Ancillary Justice.

I’m curious who else has read them. What did you think of the series?

Made some good progress on one of my books today! Though I might have accidentally started writing one book while thinking about another.

Not super productive today so far, but I’ve written a couple hundred words so far.

Also watched a coupled speed runs for Ocarina of Time. Crazy, but it looks fun.

What? No. I am not finding ways to distract myself 😂

At work, we're considering expanding into publishing. We'd include large print versions of books to help with accessibility.

Here's the survey monkey survey. Please consider filling it out.

Good! We don't need any of that literary censorship nonsense.

Nothing ever good as come from banning books. If you don't like it don't read it. Don't deprive others of the opporunity to read something just because you don't want to.

Spent way too long trying to figure out where the leak in my condo was only to find out I dropped some ice on the counter and it was melting.

Still probably the weirdest writing advice I've heard was from my high school creative writing teacher who said to make up your own adverbs and use them often.

Though he did also say to use as many adjective as possible when describing an object.

"Quantum of Solace" is so well named.

It's a movie where you can either know what speed James Bond is moving at, or his location and the direction he's moving in, but never both.

As much as I do love making things up, I do, too, enjoy researching for books.

Though sadly, I haven't looked up anything too crazy in a while. Though a little biology.
ME: The great thing about writing fantasy is that you can make stuff up!

What an absolute trash account!

@ny-yankees.bsky.social is opening up the alt text field, hitting the space bar, and calling it a day so the alt badge shows up but there is nothing there.

Disgusting ableist behavior.

A beta reader described my book as space noir. Not intentional as I didn't see that at first, but I'm happy for it to have to space noir elements.

Had a good day reorganizing my library of books. Would love to find some indie authors out there!

Also, all this snow and cold makes it a perfect to read and write.

Totally agree! Stealing books isn't the answer, or using cheat tactics to get a free copy.
