I think the HoC needs a big jar in the middle of the floor that a politician needs to put a twoonie into each time they say something false, misleading, or heckle pointlessly during sessions.

I have written and deleted a lot of posts but I keep thinking about how the brutal assassination of Minnesota State senator Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and their beloved dog Gilbert in June did not prompt this same level of calls for empathy, sympathy, and flags at half-mast.

How delightfully selective bodily autonomy applies to vaccines but not wombs. Apparently the Constitution protects your right to spread measles but not to choose motherhood. One can only admire such principled inconsistency. Freedom means infecting babies, tyranny means reproductive choice.

Hopefully the book ban in Alberta schools translates into increased business for book retailers and kids motivated to read to spite the government- silver linings.
