"Diving headfirst into Monday".

Two day week though so there is that.
[Garden of Plums]

Drawing of my oc Enzo Neviani from my webcomic Figlio d'Argento.
Funny fact is that the main idea were supposed to be roses, but I'm glad I kept the chinese plums since they fit a bit.

Does anyone see these videos at all? I'm loving Bluesky, but it's almost like they didn't have 40 year old 375 lbs yoyoers in mind when they designed. Seems like an oversight, but I can forgive.

Open invite to any fellow Harris voter to learn yoyo and maybe chat if ya happen to be in the area. This is Fremont in Las Vegas. Bonus extra lessons for anyone who owned a YakBak and JnCos.

I always cheated and put my stats to max. There was also someway in the 3rd one to import your characters and you could set their level. *it was still difficult.
Champions of Krynn (1990) | RPG | PC platforms | SSI

In the first in SSI's adaptations taking place in TSR's Dragonlance TTRPG setting, players are on patrol when tragedy strikes in what turns out to be the first act in an insidious scheme by the broken forces of the Dark Queen to return to power.

This is also my hometown and can't say it surprises me after the whole "Griffon" thing. That weird drawing really did look out of place on the cop cars regardless of the awful awful history.
My Rep ran on this bullshit. IN IOWA. How big an 'issue' do you suppose this really is here?

There werecslso aryan nation recruitment posters leafletting my #Waterloo hometown. In case you wondered Waterloo is 17.3% Black.

We are NOT OK

I ran into a fellow thrower then went on a rant about hobbies, books, and reading. That's a "Fifth Element" shirt I'm wearing and the book was a positive psychology book by Ken Keyes, Jr.

I wonder if Bluesky has a niche special interest of mine.

"I, The Sun" is fiction about a king around the time of the Bronze Age Collapse

Every character but one is named in historical records.

I liked it. Again, it is fiction
A bit random but maybe this will land on the right Bluesky feed: does anyone have a rec for a solid history of the Sea Peoples, the sea-faring marauders who may or may not have spurred the collapse of the Bronze Age? (Note: NOT the Sea People of Christina Thompson's excellent book on Polynesia!)

The bus song from Earthbound is dope af imo. Frog's theme. Anything FF6 or Chrono Trigger. Weirdly enough, I really like the music from "The Flame in the Flood", but it's not trad vg music.
I fervently love video game music. LOVE it. Have for 25 years. I KNOW not every track is incredible. I KNOW that nothing is perfect or that maybe it's silly to compare it to Mozart or Beethoven but I just love it. I hope everyone finds something to love. Many things to love.

My fav story about Olympias I heard on The Ancients with Tristan Hughs when after Alexander passed people were too afraid of Olympias to take her out. YOU GO, GIRL!
A Roman medallion from circa AD 225-250 bearing the image of Olympias the mother of Alexander.
Despite all his military conquests, Alexander never attacked Rome and perhaps for that reason his popularity ran strong in Roman imagination.

Very true. Really hope Bluesky doesn't become this way.
I always got on Twitter to simply share archaeology with people in concise and visual threads

Immediately people started following along for the conversation

But so quickly, that conversation was hijacked by non-stop questions from the JAQing off pseudoarchaeology crowd

WTF is going on here at Blue Sky? People are civil to each other. People having intelligent discussions. People are spelling things correctly. I haven’t seen any racism or sexism.

I’m confused.
