Using #mobile #measurements of aerosol size distribution, #particulate_matter mass, and #multi-wavelength #black_carbon mass, our study identified distinct #pollutant source signatures across the #Urban Core, Ring Road, and Peri-Urban regions of #Ahmedabad.

Last month, I had the opportunity to deliver a platform #presentation at the 14th Asian #Aerosol #Conference (AAC 2025) held at Taj The Trees, Mumbai, where I presented my work on "Street-Level #Air_Quality #Mapping and #Source Identification in a Western Indian #Metropolis".

This work was also #featured in "The Indian Express" article (indianexpress.com/article/citi...), amplifying its relevance to #public_health 😷

This work emphasizes that improving #ambient_air_quality alone isn’t enough—effective #IAQ_management must combine outdoor #pollution_control with smart indoor practices like #ventilation and #filtration.

🔎 Our #findings show that:
#IndoorAirQuality was 50% of times poorer than outdoors, even in rooms without active emission sources ❗
In spaces with sources like cooking, soldering, grinding or cutting, PM2.5 levels were up to twice as high as outdoors ‼️

In this study, we evaluated #indoor and #outdoor #particulate_matter (PM2.5) levels across different microenvironments using #low_cost_sensors (LCS), #calibrated against an FEM #reference instrument using #Multiple_Linear_Regression (MLR) technique.
