I love writing "double entendre" pieces. Like yes, this poem is about my relationship with poetry and myself... but it is also so much deeper than that.

I keep having these thoughts about "making it" with my writing. And I am realizing that the pressure behind that is the very thing that is keeping me from writing at all. I have already "made it" but my lack of consistency keeps me from flourishing.

The craziest parts of my life have always just been me being a live reenactment of some of my favorite blues/r&b songs. Currently? It is What If He Knew by Floyd Taylor 😅
