One year ago, checking on my trap, hoping it was still sucking up the spores of new #fungifriends #throwbackthursday
A dark green tripod spore trap, flagged with bright orange tape for safety (hypothetically because someone ran into it with a golf cart), stands close to a gnarled grapevine in a snow-covered vineyard. A bright orange weather blanket protects the battery box below, and a solar panel is mounted to the side of the tripod at an angle to maximize winter sun exposure, ensuring this trap keeps collecting spores even in the harsh Minnesota winter.
